Selected step 1 / 3: Create a profile
The separate Amtsprofil password never leaves your browser. We cannot reset it, and that is exactly what makes the vault yours. For emergencies you create your own recovery kit: an encrypted file plus a code, and it only ever opens in your browser.
On any new device you open your Amtsprofil with your password, with no export and no plaintext transfer.
If you start over, your account, files, billing and Aktenschrank stay fully intact.
Details only move into a tool when you explicitly trigger it, field by field, visible and traceable.
The security model, no smoke and mirrors
Amtsprofil protects your stored details with client-side encryption. The servers store an envelope linked to your account, but cannot read what is inside.
A key is derived locally from your separate Amtsprofil password. The password is never sent to Werkzeu.ge.
PBKDF2-SHA-256, 1,000,000 iterationsAll the fields you choose are encrypted together. Your browser only holds an encrypted cache, the server only the same unreadable envelope.

Security works better when nothing hides in the small print
Password, recovery, sync and limits: clearly answered before you store anything.
No. It is a separate password just for the Amtsprofil vault. It is never sent to the login or to the server, and you should save it as a separate entry in your password manager.
Your browser encrypts the profile. Only the unreadable envelope is linked to your Werkzeu.ge account and stored on our servers. Password, key and plaintext never leave your browser.
We cannot recover the plaintext or the password. If you only clear your browser data or switch devices, the encrypted envelope stays in your account and opens again with your password. If you forget the password, your recovery kit helps, as long as you created one beforehand: under "Forgot your password?" you choose the kit file, type in the code and set a new password. This happens only in your browser, and you get back the state the kit had when you created it. Without a kit the data cannot be recovered, and the only option left is to delete the Amtsprofil and start over. Your account, files, billing and the separate Aktenschrank vault are not affected.
Yes. Signed-in browsers load the same encrypted envelope from your account. Decryption still happens only in the browser, after you enter the separate Amtsprofil password.
The separate password is asked for every single time. Decryption and matching happen in the browser. After that the key is discarded. If you change a filled-in field in the tool, that does not change your vault automatically.
No. Every field is optional. You only store details you want to reuse regularly, and you can remove stored fields in the editor again.

It protects the stored vault in your browser. It does not replace a secure device. Malware, compromised browser extensions or other people with access to an already unlocked browser can get around this protection.

Amtsprofil helps you carry recurring details into supported tools and form fields on purpose. It is not an official record, not proof of identity and not an account with any authority.
You choose a separate Amtsprofil password. It is not your account password, and Werkzeu.ge cannot reset it.
Up to 65 profile fields cover you as a person, your address, tax, insurance, bank, residence, employment and business. Every field is optional.
Your browser derives the key with PBKDF2-SHA-256 and 1,000,000 iterations and encrypts the profile with AES-256-GCM.
A supported tool asks for the separate password. Only then are matching values copied once into the visible fields, and the profile is locked again.

Groups the optional fields into person, address, tax, insurance, family, employment, bank, residence and business.
Decryption only happens for the current browser session. Locking it by hand throws away the plaintext and the derived key again.
If you created a recovery kit beforehand, you choose the kit file, type in the code and set a new password, all in your browser only. Without a kit the data cannot be recovered: a restart you explicitly confirm deletes the unreadable envelope so you can create a new profile.

One Werkzeu.ge account is all you need. Amtsprofil runs as its own app with its own login.
